TIRAWUTA, CORONGSULTRA.COM – Pelaksana Tugas (Plt) Bupati Kolaka Timur (Koltim), H. Yosep Sahaka, bersama Kapolres Kolaka Timur AKBP Tinton Yudha Riambodo, secara resmi melepas penyaluran bantuan benih jagung bagi para petani di wilayah Kabupaten Koltim.
Pelepasan yang berlangsung di Desa Poni-Poniki, Kecamatan Tirawuta, Senin (27/10/2025) ini menandai dimulainya distribusi benih gratis dari Kementerian Pertanian (Kementan) RI.
Kegiatan tersebut dihadiri Kepala Dinas Tanaman Pangan dan Peternakan Koltim, Kasat Pol PP, Linmas dan Damkar Koltim, para penyuluh pertanian, serta tamu undangan lainnya.
Plt. Bupati Koltim, Yosep Sahaka menyampaikan apresiasi dan terima kasih kepada Kementan RI atas dukungan yang diberikan kepada petani Koltim.
Ia berharap bantuan benih jagung ini dapat meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian masyarakat.
“Bantuan benih jagung ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan produktivitas pertanian masyarakat, khususnya dalam memperkuat ketahanan pangan daerah serta mendukung perekonomian petani,” ucap Yosep Sahaka.
Sementara itu, Kapolres Koltim, AKBP Tinton Yudha Riambodo menegaskan dukungan penuh dari jajaran Polres Koltim.
“Kami siap membantu memastikan proses distribusi berjalan aman, lancar, dan tepat sasaran, agar manfaatnya benar-benar dirasakan oleh para petani,” ujar Kapolres.
Total bantuan benih jagung yang disalurkan mencapai 20.640 ton dan akan mencakup tiga kecamatan, yaitu Dangia, Aere, dan Tirawuta, dengan total luas lahan sasaran 1.376 hektare. Bantuan dari Kementan ini akan disalurkan melalui tiga tahapan.
Pada tahap pertama, penyaluran dilakukan pada hari itu juga dengan jumlah 8,925 ton benih jagung, yang dialokasikan untuk luas lahan 595 hektare di wilayah Kecamatan Aere.
Melalui program ini, para petani di Koltim dapat memanfaatkan bantuan dengan sebaik-baiknya guna meningkatkan hasil panen dan kesejahteraan masyarakat di sektor pertanian.
